Doug McKinley has played an integral role in the development of hundreds of leaders toward personal and professional effectiveness. Doug and his team of consultants have partnered with executives in a wide range of industries in building high performance teams, assessing leadership talent, and provide individual leadership development.

 

Over the past 15 years, Doug McKinley has been involved in coaching and developing hundreds of leaders and senior teams nationally. Drawing from his training as a psychologist, Dr. McKinley focuses his work with leaders on assisting them in uncovering their “leadership thru-line,” integrating their personal beliefs with their interpersonal and executive competencies. This approach ensures sustainable leadership impact by improving authenticity and value added contributions. In working with leadership teams, Dr. McKinley is fiercely committed to bringing unity and commitment to organizational challenges and goals. Able to confront a leader’s selfish pursuits and unafraid of messy group dynamics, he creatively intervenes by encouraging courageous conversations while building upon mutually agreed strengths.

 

Dr. McKinley is the co-founder of Xcellero Leadership based in Chicago Illinois. He holds a doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology, is a Master Certified Coach from the International Coach Federation, and is the author of two books and numerous training manuals and articles on leadership development. He resides in the Chicago suburbs with his wife of 29 years and has two amazing adult children.
