Session length: 45 minutes

2019-06-13T17:00:00-04:00 Thursday, June 13th 17:00 EDT

Imagine what your clients might achieve if they could quiet their self-doubt. Often, even accomplished leaders are held back by a harsh inner critic that prevents them from taking risks, stepping into new domains, and creating a more fulfilling life.

As coaches, we need a robust toolkit for working with clients around self-doubt. In this talk Tara will cover the coaching tools, questions and approaches that you can use to help your clients move beyond self-doubt. These practices work: more than 90% of individuals receiving training in them report increased levels of confidence as a result.

As a coach, you can also bring all of these tools to yourself, and apply them when self-doubt arises, so that you can do your work with greater confidence and courage.

Key Learning Takeaways

  1. The surprising root cause of the inner critic.
  2. The common mistakes coaches make in working with clients around the inner critic.
  3. Four highly effective tools that you can use for yourself, and teach your clients to use when self-doubt arises, so that it no longer holds them back.

Advancing Women’s Leadership through Coaching

Session length: 90 minutes

2020-02-06T17:00:00-05:00 Thursday, February 6th 17:00 EDT

We find ourselves in an unprecedented historical moment for women, and for women leaders in particular. For the past decade, Tara Mohr has worked with women across diverse backgrounds and industries to help them play bigger in their careers and contributions. This workshop will cover three areas we must address as coaches working with women around their professional development and impact.

Attendees will learn coaching tools that have had a proven impact for thousands of women leaders. We will focus on three areas relevant for work with any client but that have particular salience for empowering women:

  • Quieting the Inner Critic: teaching clients how to move past self-doubt
  • Accessing the Inner Mentor: equipping clients to access a voice of clarity and wisdom in themselves
  • Unhooking from Praise and Criticism: practices to help clients move past good girl socialization, cope resiliently with criticism, and navigate feedback that often reflects gender biases.

Join us for a rich conversation about how we can advance women’s leadership through the container of the coaching relationship.

Key Learning Takeaways

  1. How to help clients have a new and effective relationship with self-doubt.
  2. How to take clients through a process to access their own inner wisdom and clarity.
  3. How to help clients become less dependent on praise, or less avoidant of criticism, so they can do their bravest and boldest work.
